Career coaching isn’t meant to be an “every once in a while” thing. You need to be constantly be checking in with your coach and meeting with them. Think how a sports team would react if they only checked in with their coach every once in a while? For example, what if Bill Belichick met with the Patriots at the beginning of the season, then didn’t talk to them until right before the play-offs started? Not very effective right? That’s how you need to treat your career coaching. It should be a regular meeting at least a few times a month, and if you can’t meet in person check-in via e-mail or through a phone call.
