Keeping up with the News

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

One entertainment news item I always try to stay caught up in is the release of new music. I always want to know who’s coming out with a new album and when, because I would like to get it as soon as possible. I have no idea which celebrities got married and which are cheating on each other and so on, but I can tell you when the new Dave Matthews album is coming out, or for how long the Lupe Fiasco album is taking. I usually use iTunes to find out exactly when a new CD is coming out, but sometimes that is incomplete so I just search a few entertainment blogs regularly. I get excited about music news, whereas celebrity gossip just doesn’t do it for me.

Die-hard Movie Fan

I cannot wait for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince to come out!  I know it’s super nerdy, but my best friend and I have already bought our tickets for the midnight premier.  My friend is very adamant about being one of the very first people to see the film.  We’re even going to dress up.  My friend is the die-hard fan, so her outfit is all red and gold.  In the meantime, I go for the bad-boy side of this movie, so I’ll be in green, silver, and black.  Now, I know we are abnormally, and extremely into the Harry Potter movies.  But, I think that it is good for people to express their interests and loves with passion.  Otherwise, the world would be very dark.  And come to think of it, without the expression of passion, movies would not even exist.

Extreme fashion

High fashion is silly to me. Who would were some of those ridiculous outfits? It seems like it would take about a week to put on, and then everyone and their dog would look at you like you were nuts. The only place high fashion is acceptable is at high fashion shows. Other than that, people will think you are crazy for wearing a dress with peacock feathers scattered all over, or looking like you just rolled over a pile of twigs. Maybe I am just too normal to realize the importance of high fashion, but I can guarantee you will never see me or anyone I know wearing some of those ridiculous outfits seen at high fashion shows.
