If I were the head of a corporation, or the leader of some sort of organization, I would have a extremely hard time not hiring friends and family. Nepotism is a bad thing, but what if I feel my friends are smart and work hard? Usually successful people associate with other successful people, so why not let them tap into their friends? Everyone should have an equal chance to get a job, but I think people have become so afraid of being accused of nepotism that they don’t even consider friends and family when they actually may be the best person for the job. You shouldn’t ever choose someone who is less qualified just because they are your friend, but you shouldn’t ever rule them out because they are your friend either.
