Depending on the type of job you apply for, interviews can vary quite a bit. Once I worked in retail. The store was small and not the most professional looking, but I loved their cheap clothes and knew they were hiring. When I went in for my interview, the manager took me into the back because the office was a tiny box in the extreme back of the storage room. We went through his list of questions and finished the interview and I thought I could go, but then he says, “Wait here, I’ll get the assistant manager and do the second interview so you don’t have to come back later.” I was so surprised… this was my first job and I have never heard of such a thing as a second interview.
