Gynecologist

Alright, let’s just get it out there. We all have to go, so let’s talk about it. The gynecologist. The thing that I think scares me the most is what I personally don’t have. A male gynecologist. I think that would make the entire experience a hundred times more awkward than it already is. Why do men become gynecologists? To torture those of us not fortunate to find a female one? And does everything in the patient rooms really need to be half frozen? Is there nothing the nurses or doctors could do about that? And with all doctors, I hate how you have to wait for the test results. Why can’t it be the next day at least, and not a week and a half later? I know, I know, patience is a virtue. But… how many truly patient people do you run into in this day and age?

Physical Therapy Pain

Physical therapy is hard work. Getting injured was the easy part comparatively. You didn’t even have to try to tear your ACL, it just sort of happened, but healing it is a huge pain. Physical therapy can sometimes take months to complete, and it isn’t like you are just sitting around getting massaged all day. Physical therapists put you through an intense exercise regime so that your muscles and bones heal properly and get strong quickly, otherwise you could easily re-injure yourself again. The initial injury is a shorter pain, but intense, whereas the physical therapy is a long drawn out pain that lasts for months. Give me the short burst any day.

Make Breakfast Count

When you are looking to become healthier and maybe loss a little weight, one, kind of counterintuitive, thing to try is eating a larger breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for quite a few reasons. First, by eating a large breakfast, it wakes up your metabolism earlier, giving your body more time to burn off calories and fat. This is important because you naturally burn calories while you are awake, so giving your body as much time to burn calories as possible can increase your health and perhaps decrease your weight. Also, by eating a large breakfast, you are more likely to have smaller meals throughout the day, thereby decreasing your overall calorie intake.
